Central Care Cancer Center is getting set to once again play host to the annual Relay for Life Kickoff this week.
The kickoff event will be held Wednesday, April 10 in the main lobby of the cancer center. The kickoff will include a hot dog and baked beans lunch with prize giveaways and tours of the cancer center.
The cost of the lunch is a suggested donation of $5. Organizer and cancer survivor Cherie Crisp says the point of the kickoff is to provide survivors and caregivers a central location to meet up and get signed up for Relay for Life.
Anyone interested may sign up as part of a team or as an individual. The kickoff will run from 11 am to 1 pm at the cancer center located at 1401 W. 12th Ave.
