The Emporia City Commission has a brief agenda for their study session Wednesday.
Discussions will center around the Stepping up Initiative. A coalition of agencies in both Lyon County and Emporia are seeking the commission’s support for the initiative which aims to help close gaps in mental health treatment and reduce the number of individuals in jail with mental illnesses.
Discussions will also be held on the proposed downtown speaker system as well as Funston Road, Exchange Road and Melrose Place. The meeting begins at 10:30 am in city conference room 1AB at White Auditorium.
