Several items are up for discussion and action during the USD 251 North Lyon County board meeting Wednesday night.
Board members will consider the sale of the former Reading Elementary building. This action item follows last month’s discussion about options for the building after it was closed due to budgetary concerns last year. City officials have requested the district sell the building, and one question that came up last month was whether to sell the building or auction it off.
Other action items include bids for boilers, an alarm system at North Lyon County Elementary-Junior High and math textbooks. Numerous discussions about handbooks are also planned.
Discussion items include a presentation for the third grade’s solar energy project. There will also be an update on the Northern Heights farm operations.
The meeting starts at 7 pm Wednesday at the board office in Americus.
