Virginia held the lead for most of the game. There were 8 ties and 8 lead changes. De’Andre Hunter led Virginia with 27 points. Kyle Guy added 24 points and was named the MVP.
Texas Tech was led by Brandone Franchis with 17 points. Tech Coach Chris Beard called it great Championship game.
Its the first mens basketball national championship for Virginia.
