A search for a man recently placed on Lyon County’s Most Wanted list led to the arrest of that individual — as well as five others — on Tuesday.
Lyon County Deputy Nolan Kehres says deputies received information that 41-year-old Jeric Cranford was staying at 880 Road 280, about 10 miles due north of Emporia. Cranford was added to the Lyon County Most Wanted list in late March for suspected methamphetamine distribution.
Deputies went to the address in question and arrested 33-year-old Bronson White on unspecified warrants. As deputies obtained a search warrant for the property, a white male ran northeast of the residence. With the help of the Greenwood County Sheriff’s Office drone, as well as aircraft and a K-9 unit from the Kansas Highway Patrol, Cranford and 29-year-old Derek Noffsinger were arrested on unspecified warrants.
Later, deputies arrested three other people: 53-year-old Tammie Williams, 37-year-old Wade Oelke and 42-year-old Ana Rhoads. Deputies have not specified why these individuals were arrested, but formal charges are currently pending against all six people in Lyon County District Court.

Two men are now in custody following a manhunt north of Emporia Tuesday evening.
According to Lyon County Sheriff Jeff Cope, Sheriff’s officers were in the 800 block of Road 280 serving a warrant. Upon arriving at the residence two male suspects then fled on foot.
Cope tells KVOE News one of the suspects had felony warrants while the other had misdemeanor warrants. Officers then set up a perimeter and brought in canine units and a drone from the Greenwood County Sheriff’s office to locate the suspects.
Both individuals were apprehended and taken into custody. Word on formal charges are currently pending.
