Apparently the St. Patrick’s Committee has found the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow.
During Wednesday’s now-annual check presentation at the KVOE studios, over $35,000 was passed out to 24 different organizations, including the committee’s endowed scholarship at Flint Hills Technical College. Spokespeople Trey Sommers and Barb Ternes-Lowery say they are looking forward to raising a lot of money for different community groups — and they thanked this year’s beneficiaries for their work to make the fundraising efforts a success.
All group requests were fully funded. The prior record of $30,000 was set last year.
