Low temperatures Saturday morning have led to most of the KVOE listening area being placed into a frost advisory.
The National Weather Service has placed Lyon, Osage, Morris and Wabaunsee counties into the advisory beginning at 1 am and ending at 10 am Saturday morning. Temperatures are expected to drop into the mid 30’s through the early morning hours.
The risk of frost does carry some potential risk to outdoor plant life. Residents are advised to bring any outdoor plants inside during this time.
If certain plants are not able to be brought indoors residents are encouraged to cover them until the frost warning expires. Chances of rainfall Saturday morning into the evening are also currently expected.
