Students and seniors alike danced the night away on Thursday at the annual Emporia State University Senior Prom.
Going on now for 13 years, ESU’s Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) orchestrates the dance every year. The Senior Prom started promptly at 7:00 pm and concluded to a steady halt around 9:00 pm.
Both the athletes and senior citizens look forward to this event each year, and participant May Burden says even if she doesn’t dance, she still gets the full enjoyment.
ESU athletics have a tremendous amount of community support, and Burden says she’s no exception.
Everyone in attendance at the 2019 ESU Senior Prom dreaded the end of the dance but looks forward to the same event next year.
