Once again, Emporia State University is holding a challenging fundraiser for three youth-based community groups.
The seventh annual Nitty Gritty Dirt Dash is Saturday morning at the Trusler Sports Complex. Fifteen obstacles, testing abilities to climb, crawl and jump, are part of the course this year.
On-site check-in starts at 8:30 am Saturday with the run starting at 9 am. Cost is $25 for adults and $15 for youths between 14 and 17. All participating youths will need a parent or guardian signature before they can take part, and all runners need to sign a waiver form before they launch.
Proceeds benefit the Children’s Champions Network of Camp Alexander, Emporia Child Care and Kansas Big Brothers Big Sisters Serving Lyon County.
