The Emporia High baseball team was swept by Washburn Rural in a doubleheader Friday.
Rural won the first game 12-2 and won the 2nd game 7-6. In the 2nd game Rural scored the winning run after a walk, hit batter, walk and hit batter. For Emporia High Cade Kohlmeier was 2 for 3 with 2 rbi and scored 3 runs. John Miller was 3 for 4 with 2 rbi. The Spartans are now 3-3 for the the season they will be hosting Topeka Hayden Tuesday.
