The Career Certificate Program students received a personally tailored business suit for completing the program on Tuesday.
This eight-month program is completed through ESU and teaches students important career skills such as how to present yourself in an interview or how to put together a resume. It also provides tools for job searching. Program instructor June Coleman describes why these skills are important.
Students who completed the program were awarded a Certificate stating completion in the course as well as a business suit that was custom made for the students by Dillard’s. Students were very thankful they got the chance to take the class and learn these important skills. DeWayne Sanford, a student who completed the program, speaks on how he’s been able to use these techniques in a real setting.
This was the program’s first year of being implemented and will be opening up to sophomores next year.
