The Emporia Symphony Orchestra has its Grand Finale of the 2018-19 concert season Tuesday night.
Conductor Ramiro Miranda says there will be some special people on the stage with the Symphony Orchestra.
Miranda says the first half will feature a relatively small group playing Bach’s Orchestral Suite No. 3 and Ibert’s Concertina da Camera featuring Chavez on saxophone. The second half will involve Tchaikovsky’s Concerto No. 5, Berlioz’s “March to the Scaffold” and a new piece from San Francisco clarinetist Jose Gonzalez Granedo titled “Gion.”
The concert starts at 7:30 pm at Albert Taylor Hall. Tickets are $5 at the door.
