The Emporia State baseball team rolled to a 9-3 win over Missouri Southern Tuesday.
The Hornets scored 3 runs in the 1st inning, with 2 doubles and a single, and never trailed.
Paul Claassen doubled in 2 runs in the 6th to give the Hornets a 5-1 lead.
Mitch Sloan hit a 2 run home run in the 7th inning to put the Hornets on top 7-3. Brian Grove and Aaron Dees hit solo home runs in the 8th.Jarrett Seaton was the winning pitcher going 5 and a third innings giving up 3 runs on 6 hits.
The Hornets will open a 3 game series with Washburn in Topeka on Thursday.
