One road in northern Lyon County is reopening to traffic while another will be closed for nearly three months.
Road U has reopened between Roads 320 and 330 after a bridge replacement. The road had been closed since late March.
The Highway Department is closing Road J between Roads 300 and 310, or about four miles south of Allen. A bridge replacement project is now underway. Work could take 12 weeks to finish out.
In Chase County, work originally planned to start Monday for Lake Road between Cottonwood Falls and Elmdale is actually set to begin Thursday.
