Emporia States Brianna Schmitz finished in 2nd place in the Heptathlon at the KU relays Thursday. She finished 1 point out of first place.
Also Thursday at KU for Emporia State Leah Nelson had a 2nd place finish in the 800 meter run. Grant Knoll finished in 5th place in the 3000 steeple chase.
Senior Hannah Shield will be one of the many Emporia State athletes competing Friday and Saturday at KU. She will be running in the 100 and 200 meter dashes.
Emporia State will also be sending athletes to the Central Missouri Mule Relays.
