The Emporia State softball team was swept by #2 ranked Central Oklahoma in a doubleheader Friday.
Central Oklahoma won the first game 6-2. Emporia State scored 2 runs in the the first inning on a single by Hannah Steeby and a Destiny Ojigoh double. Central Oklahoma took the lead with a 5 run 2nd inning.
Central Oklahoma won the 2nd game 10-4. Again Emporia State scored 1st on a Destiny Ojigoh single in the 2nd inning. Central Oklahoma answered with 3 runs in the bottom of the 2nd. Both teams scored a run in the 3rd. Central scored 3 more runs in the 4th inning and 2 more runs in the 5th to take a 9-2 lead. Emporia State tried to rally with 2 runs in the 6th.
The Emporia State softball team plays at Northeastern State Saturday afternoon.
