The Lyon County Fairgrounds parking lot was filled with worshipers Easter Sunday for a special kind of service.
Once again Messiah Lutheran Church held its annual drive-in worship service at the fairgrounds. Pastor Norbert Tegtmeier delivered the sermon titled “Treasures in Heaven.”
The sermon focused on the meaning of Easter to Christians and also touched on the subject of empty promises. Tegtmeier utilized the story of two brothers boiling Easter eggs to accentuate this point.
Over 70 vehicles were parked out front of the Lyon County Fairgrounds Anderson Building to take in the holiday message. As has been the case in the past, the roughly 30-minute long service was broadcast on KVOE 1400AM and 96.9FM
