The New York Yankees walked off with a 7-6 win over the Kansas City Royals in 10 innings Sunday.
The Royals were shutout for the first 7 innings. Yankees starter James Paxon pitched 6 innings, giving up 3 hits and struck out 12. The Yankees had a 5-0 lead going to the 8th inning when the Royals scored 6 runs. Alex Gordon hit a 3 run home run and Hunter Dozier hit a solo home run. The Yankees tied the game in the bottom of the 8th and won the game in the 10th.
The Royals begin a series with at Tampa Bay Monday night. Brad Keller, who is appealing a 5 game suspension, will be the starting pitcher for the Royals with first pitch at 6:10p. The game will be broadcast on KVOE 1400AM/96.9FM.
