The Tampa Bay Rays rallied for a 6-3 win over the Kansas City Royals Monday night.
Alex Gordon, Jorge Soler and Hunter Dozier hit home runs for the Royals as they built a 3-1 lead. The Rays would score 3 runs in the 7th inning to take a 5-3 lead. The Royals and Rays play again Tuesday night with Homer Bailey on the mound for the Royals with first pitch at 6:10p. The game will be broadcast on KVOE 1400AM/96.9FM.
The Royals have announced that Danny Duffy will return on Friday. He will make the start against the Los Angeles Angels. Duffy had been battling a sore shoulder almost from the moment Spring Training began. Duffy was put on the 10-day injured list when the team broke camp and remained in Arizona to build his arm strength back up, then made one rehab start with Double-A Northwest Arkansas on Saturday. Duffy threw five innings and gave up four hits, one unearned run and struck out seven in the start.
