Two awards were given out at Emporia State’s Research and Creativity Day on Wednesday.
The 2019 President’s Award Research and Creativity award, which includes a $3,500 prize and a personal glass blown art piece, was given to associate professor of business administration Dr. Jeffery Muldoon because of how active he is in scholarly and creative undertakings.
The new Dr. Gary Bitter Research Award was given to Biological Sciences associate professor Dr. William Jensen and graduate research assistants Heather Kraus and Benjamin Wilson for their outstanding collaboration between student and faculty. The award will give $3,000 to Jensen, $500 scholarships to both Kraus and Wilson, and $1,000 towards the Department of Biological Sciences’ enhancement fund.
