The Salvation Army held an auction to raise money for one of their summer camps during their Annual Spring Fundraiser on Friday.
The proceeds went to the Salvation Army 3 Trails summer camp. The camp is a place for children with ages ranging from 7 to 17 to spend time doing a multitude of activities like archery and swimming as well as talent-focused activities like music. They also spend time learning about Christ’s messages and the Salvation Army message. According to Capt. Deb Thompson, the camps bring once-in-a-lifetime opportunities to kids.
Totals are pending.
The Salvation Army has plenty of other events and fundraisers happening soon. The Round-up for the Hungry fundraiser is happening now until May 3, the Stamp Out Hunger food drive is May 11 and National Salvation Army week goes from May 13-17.
