Gusty northwest winds will be the key item in the Flint Hills weather picture Saturday.
Chase County is in a wind advisory until 6 pm for expected winds as high as 45 mph. Other area counties are not in a wind advisory, but winds could be above 40 mph for Lyon County and all neighboring counties.
The Emporia Municipal Airport had a 43 mph gust shortly before noon.
