9 members of the Emporia State baseball team have received MIAA honors.
Senior pitcher Tanner Cairns is a first team selection and was awarded a Gold Glove.
Brian Grove is the 2nd team second baseman. Aaron Dees is a 2nd team outfielder. Cooper Minnick is the 3rd team catcher and was awarded a Gold Glove.
Connor Hurst is a 3rd team outfielder.
Starting pitcher Jake Barton, relief pitcher Drew Scrimsher and 3rd baseman Paul Claassen are honorable mentions.
Josh Norlin received a Gold Glove at shortstop.
Emporia State opens MIAA tournament play tomorrow evening agasint Pittsburg State with first pitch at 7:30 in Pittsburg. The game will be broadcast on MIX 104.9.
