The Emporia State baseball team is scheduled to begin MIAA tournament play Thursday evening. The Hornets will play in the final game of the day against the host Pittsburg State with first pitch set for 7:30p.
The Hornets finished the regular season going 2-4, Coach Seth Wheeler says they know what they need to do in the tournament to keep the season alive.
Junior 3rd baseman Paul Claassen says the way the regular season ended is a motivator.
The game will be broadcast on MIX 104.9.
The other first round games have Central Oklahoma playing Lindenwood, Missouri Southern plays Northwest Missouri State and Central Missouri plays Missouri Western.
