The Emporia High girls track team finished 2nd and the boys 3rd at the Centennial League meet Thursday. Emporia High did come home with 8 champions.
For the girls – Alexis Davies won the 200 meter dash.
Elizabeth Schwerdtfeger won both the long jump and triple jump.
Taylor Milleson won the shot put and discuss.
For the boys- Rafael Vasquez won the 300 hurdles.
Storm Dial won the long jump.
The boys 4 by 400 relay team of Matthew East, Isaac Huber, Rafael Vasquez and Colton Bieker finished in 1st place.
Emporia High also had 5 2nd place finishes:
Matthew East in the 300 hurdles.
Hannah Cooper in the high jump.
Mya Tovar in the javelin.
The girls 4 by 100 and 4 by 400 relays.
Emporia High had 3 third place finishes:
Alexis Davies in the 400 meter dash.
Elizabeth Schwerdtfeger in the 100 hurdles.
Isaac Huber in the pole vault.
Emporia High will be hosting a regional meet next Friday.
