Emporia State athletes picked up 2 provisional qualifying marks for nationals and 1 first place finish in the Sam Williams Qualifier Saturday.
Both provisional qualifiers came in the javelin. Carter Swindale had a season best throw and finished in 4th place in the mens javelin.
Madelyn Hayes finished in 6th place in the womens javelin.
Jazmin Williams won the long jump.
Emporia State athletes will find out Tuesday if they have qualified for nationals.
There was also a meet and stadium record set. Whitney Ashley who was on the USA Olympic team in 2016 won the discus with a throw of 194 feet 11 inches. She was competing unattached.
