Founding Chicago member Danny Seraphine promised a night of hits when he brought his Take Me Back to Chicago experience to Emporia’s Granada Theatre on Saturday night. He did not disappoint.
Seraphine helped form Chicago in 1967 and played drums for its most well-known songs, including “25 or 6 to 4,” Colour My World” and “Saturday in the Park” from the 1970s as well as 1980s ballads like “Hard to Say I’m Sorry” and “You’re the Inspiration.” He brought his band CTA to perform numerous hits in a nearly two-hour show.
Up next for the Granada are movie screenings of Under the Tuscan Sun on May 18, Space Jam on June 8, October Sky on June 25 and Home on July 16. For more information, call the Granada at 342-3342 or go online to www.emporiagranada.com.
