Lyon County deputies say one person was hurt and two people cited after an injury crash near Olpe on Saturday.
Deputy Chuck Moore says the wreck happened in the 1000 block of Road 70. The crash developed after 60-year-old Rose Baker was driving an SUV westbound on Road 70 and following 31-year-old Joel Crouch, who was driving a pickup. Baker tried to pass Crouch as Crouch turned left into a field entrance. The two vehicles collided.
Baker was taken to Newman Regional Health with non-life-threatening injuries, according to deputies. Crouch and a passenger were not hurt.
Moore says Crouch was cited for operating a vehicle without working brake lights and signal lights. He was also cited for not having current registration information. The truck’s owner, Rocky Bailey, was cited for knowingly permitting the truck to be operated without current registration.
