The Nuclear Regulatory Commission has scheduled a public meeting this week to discuss last year’s performance by Wolf Creek Nuclear Operating Corporation.
The NRC says Wolf Creek operated safely, with all inspection findings and performance indicators “of very low safety significance.” This means Wolf Creek will operate under the NRC’s normal level of oversight this year — which still means thousands of inspection hours through December.
The meeting is from 6-8 pm Tuesday at the New Strawn Community Center.
