Kari’s Diamonds and Bridal was burglarized Thursday morning.
Owner Kari Stookey says she was called by the business alarm company and a nearby business owner almost back-to-back a bit after 7 am.
The front door was smashed before at least one suspect got inside the store and stole jewelry. There’s currently no word on what was stolen.
Stookey was thankful things didn’t turn out worse.
Police are investigating. There is currently no word on the number of suspects or any suspect descriptions.
This is the second smash-and-grab burglary in town within a week. TP Jewelry and Pawn at 606 West Sixth was burglarized May 9. Suspect information is pending in that case, and currently there are separate investigations underway.
