A former Emporia State tennis player will be the first woman to serve on the NCAA football rules committee.
Kirsten Ford, who is the Associate Commissioner with the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference, will be 1 of 3 Division II representives on the committee. She becomes the first woman to be on the Football Rules Committee. While at Emporia State she was a team captian for the womens tennis team 3 of her 4 seasons. Was the Student Athletic Advisory Council President and represented the MIAA at the national level in saac.
Former Emporia State and Emporia High basketball player Troy Pierce has a new job. He is a now an assistant basketball coach at Southern Illinois – Edwardville. He had been on the coaching staff at Bradley.
Former Emporia State graduate assistant Brooke Costley has joined former Lady Hornet Coach Jory Collins at North Dakota State as the Director of Basketball Operations.
