Emergency responders have been busy, as a rapid succession of injury accidents have occurred in Kansas Turnpike authority throughout the day Monday.
The first report came down shortly after 3:50 pm for a two vehicle accident at KTA mile marker 109. One person was transported to Newman Regional Health following the crash.
Further details on that accident are currently pending. Roughly 45 minutes later a second vehicle accident was reported at mile marker 101.
For currently unknown reasons a vehicle overturned on the roadway. According to dispatch an occupant was outside of the vehicle when crews were dispatched.
Following these incidents a third accident occurred at mile marker 110 around 5:15 pm. No individuals were transported with this or the accident at mile marker 101.
A second individual was transported to Newman Regional Health following the fourth accident of the day at mile marker 147 according to the Emporia Fire Department. Details on this accident are still pending.

4:30 pm Monday: One taken to Newman Regional Health following two vehicle accident on Kansas Turnpike
One individual has been taken to Newman Regional Health following an injury accident on the Kansas Turnpike Monday afternoon.
Emergency crews were dispatched to mile marker 109 shortly after 3:50 pm Monday. The accident involved two vehicles with one individual being taken to Newman for observation and treatment after the wreck.
The individual’s name and condition have yet to be released. Further details are currently pending.
