Some good news has finally developed on the weather front as the severe thunderstorm warning for Chase and Greenwood Counties has been cancelled.
Lyon, Morris and Wabaunsee still remain in a severe thunderstorm watch until 10 pm Tuesday. The major concerns with this potential threat are hail as large as 2 inches in diameter and wind gusts potentially as high as 70 mph. Isolated tornadoes are also possible.

For most of Tuesday, Flint Hills residents have had to contend with light to moderate rain that contributed to our third round of flooding this month. Now, residents have a severe weather risk to deal with to close the evening.
The Storm Prediction Center has issued a severe thunderstorm watch for Lyon, Chase, Greenwood, Morris and Wabaunsee counties until 10 pm. Hail up to 2 inches in diameter and 70 mph winds are the main concerns. Isolated tornadoes are also possible.
