The Emporia High softball team begins 5A State tournament play Thursday in Maize.
Senior Brynn Rylie says there is no better way to end the season then at State.
Junior Payten Redeker says advancing to state is a big accomplishment, but they want more.
The 5A Softball tournament will be going to a rolling schedule. Each game will start 25 minutes after the conclusion of the previous game. Emporia High will be playing number 2 seed Bishop Carroll in the 3rd game of day 1.
Burlingame will be playing at the 2-1A state softball tournament at Pratt. They will open against number 2 seed Oskaloosa.
The 3A softball tournament will be played at Emporias Trusler Sport Complex on Turnbull field. Games begin at 1pm.
The 3A baseball tournament will be play at Emporias Trusler Sports Complex on Glennen Field. The first game will be played at 11am with Burlington playing Rock Creek.
