An Emporia man learned his fate Wednesday after accepting a plea agreement earlier this year for drug activity last year.
Marquise Richardson was sentenced to 56 months in prison. Richardson also has a 36-month term for postrelease supervision.
Richardson pleaded no contest to possession of cocaine with intent to distribute in March. He had originally been charged with cocaine distribution, marijuana distribution and paraphernalia possession after his arrest in October. Authorities say Richardson was captured with marijuana, cocaine and money in his possession after allegedly fleeing police.
