Emporia Public Library started off the summer with a bang with the Summer Reading Blastoff on Friday.
The public library is a popular place for learning and growth in both children and adults alike despite the fact technology that can get the same results is becoming more readily available. Library Director Robin Newell gives her insight on why that is the case.
The blastoff event was only the tip of the iceberg for the summer activities. Some of the events planned for this summer include magic shows, kid’s concerts, STEM activities, and a large amount of space-themed activities to top it all off.
