A new candidate has stepped forward for a position on the USD 252 Southern Lyon County Board of Education.
Emily Darbyshire filed her paperwork Friday. She is now the only candidate running for Position 5.
Kevin Flott has filed for re-election to Position 4, while Charles Steffes has filed for re-election to Position 7. Position 1 incumbent Gene Windle has not said whether he plans to run for re-election, and nobody has filed for Position 1 so far.
The filing and withdrawal deadline is June 3 at noon.
