Emporia State student-athletes have finished in 7th place among NCAA Division II schools in the NCAA Team Works Service Challenge.
Emporia State Deputy Director of Athletics Kristy Bayer says it is a honor not only for the student/athletes.
Emporia State Athletes combined to donate over 5,600 hours of community service during the 2018-19 school year. Kristy Bayer says its a mentality they can take with them when they graduate.
The Emporia State softball and women’s track & field teams both finished second in the nation among their sport while the Hornet football team placed third and the men’s track & field team was sixth in the nation.
