The 82nd annual Flint Hills Rodeo launches Thursday night.
Activities abound for the three-night event, which culminates Saturday in Strong City. On KVOE’s Talk of Emporia on Wednesday, barrelman and entertainer Rider Kiesner said the entertainment, stock and rodeo performers will lead to three nights of quality entertainment.
It will be muddy, thanks to all the rainfall this month. That’s all the more reason to attend, according to organizer Mike Holder.
