Wichita State has announced the hiring of Eric Wedge as the new Head Baseball Coach.
Wedge was a catcher for the Shockers from 1987-89 and earned first team All-America honors in 1989 while helping led the Shockers to a World Series Championship. After his playing career that included time with the Boston Red Sox and Colorado Rockies, Wedge Managed the Cleveland Indians and Seattle Mariners.
