The first of the Dirty Kanza races will begin Friday.
The DK XL is a 350 mile ride It will start at 3pm in the 700 block of Mechanic. Last years winner, Matt Acker of Grand Rapids, Michigan, finished the ride in just over 25 hours.
The rest of the races will begin Saturday morning beginning at 6am with the DK 200. The DK 100 begins at 6:30p. The DK 50 will begin at 8:30. The DK 25 will begin at 9am. The DK High School ride begins at 9:30p. All of Saturdays races will begin on Commercial Street in front of the Granada Theater.
Registration began at 10am Friday morning and will go until 9pm Friday evening in the Lyon County History Center.
