The Flint Hills Catbackers held their annual dinner and auction Tuesday night.
Kansas State President Richard Myers was in attendance he said Kansas State is making progress.
President Myers said Athletics was a part of that success.
Athletic Director Gene Taylor was also in attendance.
A number of Kansas State Student Athletes were in attendance including basketball player Mike McGuirl. He said winning the Big-12 regular season championship was big, but they want more.
McGuirl said having Xavier Sneed return is a big plus.
Basketball player Makol Mawien was also a part of the celebration. He said he is looking forward to his senior season.
Rachel Ranke of the womens basketball team said advancing to the NCAA Tournament was a big step forward.
Former Emporia High football player Hayden Perry is preparing for his senior season with the football team. He says he likes new football Coach Chris Klieman.
All proceeds raised by the auction goes to the Kansas State Ahearn Fund.
