The Boston Red Sox shutout the Kansas City Royals 8-0 Wednesday night.
The Royals were shutout on 3 hits by Chris Sale who went the distance. Sale stuck out 12 and walked none. Royals Manager Ned Yost said Sale was great.
The Royals and Red Sox wrap up their series Thursday afternoon with Danny Duffy on the mound for the Royals. Ryan Weber makes the start for the Red Sox with first pitch at 12:15p. The game will be broadcast on KVOE 1400AM/96.9FM.
The Royals are tied with Baltimore for the worst record in the majors with only 19 wins.
The Royals wrapped up the draft yesterday after selecting 41 players.
