The Kansas Senators swept the Emporia Junior American Legion baseball team in a doubleheader Thursday night.
The Senators won the first game 12-2. A 7 run 4th inning was big difference. Post 5 scored both of their runs in the bottom of the 7th inning.
The Senators won the 2nd game 12-1. The Emporia Juniors scored their only run in the 5th inning.
Despite scoring only 3 runs in the two games Coach Cory Shovick was encouraged by the approach at the plate.
The Post 5 Juniors are now 1-6 for the season. They are off until next Wednesday when they play at Newton.
