One person was taken to Newman Regional Health following a two-vehicle accident in the 1700 block of Road U Thursday evening.
According to Lyon County Deputy Zack Shafer, a semi was traveling southbound on Road U and failed to yield at a stop sign. An eastbound 2018 Ford F-150 pickup truck was unable to slow in time and struck the semi.
The driver of the truck was taken by private vehicle to Newman with undisclosed injuries. The semi driver was not harmed but was cited for failing to stop at a stop sign.
