The Kansas City Royals’ win streak ended at three games, Wednesday, as the Seattle Mariners won 8-2 in the series finale.
Seattle rocked Royals’ starter Brad Keller, scoring four runs in the first inning; and handing Keller one of his worst starts of the season — seven runs on nine hits and two walks over four innings.
Royals’ manager Ned Yost says a lack of command plagued Keller’s start.
Cam Gallagher and Cheslor Cuthbert each drove in a Royals’ run.
The Royals return to Kauffman Stadium, Thursday night, hosting Minnesota in a four-game weekend series. Glenn Sparkman faces the Twins’ Jake Odorizzi. Pregame at 6:30, with first pitch at 7:15, on KVOE 1400 AM/96.9 FM.
