Seamless Data Systems is selling part of its suite of business services to an Iola company.
KwiKom Communications announced it has acquired Seamless’ wireless internet operations and related assets for most incorporated cities and towns in Lyon County — Emporia, Admire, Americus, Hartford, Miller, Neosho Rapids and Olpe. As part of the deal, Seamless will provide full-service IT support, computer repair and networking support, while KwiKom will upgrade the current network to bring higher-speed Internet plans and start phone service for the coverage area.
KwiKom was founded in 2010 as part of a business merger, according to the company website. The company says current Seamless subscribers will get information from KwiKom soon about the new Internet service plans, the process for updating account and billing information and the ability to buy phone service for home or business.
Based in Emporia since its founding in 2001, Seamless will maintain its other computer and network technology operations. Founder and President Jim Belford says the sale lets Seamless focus on helping the area business community with computer, security and network needs.
