Corner House, Inc. has received a $5,000 grant from Burlington Northern Santa Fe.
Plans are to put the recent grant towards technological upgrades for the organization. Cornerhouse operates its business using computer-based programs and the grant will allow them to maximize their time with clients and spend less time waiting for programs to load.
Corner House, Inc. is a non-profit alcohol, drug evaluation, substance abuse, treatment, and referral program. They assist those who deal with substance abuse disorders, receive referrals through Senate bill programs, and provide services to those who can’t afford it.
Corner House receives 79% of their clientele from Lyon County and 75% of their clients from Emporia with their treatments having a 69% success rate. The corporation also partners with other community services such as Employee Assistance Programs(EAP), Drug Court Program, SOS and many more.
