The Kansas City Royals held on for a 7-6 win over the Toronto Blue Jays Sunday.
After giving up 5 runs in the 2nd inning the Royals answered with 5 runs in the 3rd. Alex Gordon drove in 2 runs with a single. He now has 52 RBI this season.
Hunter Dozier and Jorge Soler each drove in a run in the 3rd inning. Jorge Soler added a solo home run in the 5th inning.
Brad Keller earned his 4th win and Ian Kennedy his 11th save.
The Royals and Blue Jays wrap up their 4 game series Monday afternoon. Glenn Sparkman will be on the mound for the Royals with first pitch set for 12:07.
Whit Merrifield has been selected as a reserve for the All-Star game. It will be his first All-Star game appearance.
