This is the season for planned city construction projects. With the heat, though, it’s also the season for unplanned work.
The Emporia Public Works Department has confirmed a water main break in the 500 block of Wilson that was reported around 4 am. Other details have not been announced.
Temperatures were in the 90s with heat index readings anywhere from the mid-90s to around 106 degrees Saturday. Air temperatures should be around 90 degrees all week.
